Rae Crowther Escape Sled with Escape Pads
- A coach stands on the sled platform and grips the Reaction Bar. He can then push the pads forwards at the players, simulating a lineman coming out of their stance at the snap. Each pad can travel approx. 12” inches. Pads don’t lock and fire, for safety they can only be manually pushed.
- Drive the sled with the coach onboard or use the sled traditionally w/o.
- U shaped Escape pads offer technique advantages. Allows a defender to work against a double team block. The large wing pad acts like a secondary blocker, allowing the defender to work their elbow down, minimizing the offensive player’s hands, while the front of the pad and opposite wing pad act as the primary blocker.
- Escape pads force inside hand and elbow contact as the pads encapsulate their arms. The large wing pads keep the players trapped (like a hold), and they must fight to escape.
- A chest plate is built into the Escape pads to simulate shoulder pads.
- Escape Pads flex in all directions. The defender can attack the pad and still get their head into the gap.
- Pad colors black, royal, red, green.
- Model# ESC. Weight 515 lbs. Powder coated black.
